Employer Statement : 2024–25 Gender Equality Reporting
Glady And Co Pty Ltd
From our CEO, Galadriel Scott
At Glady And Co, gender equality is not just a compliance requirement. It is part of who we are as a community organisation built on lived experience.
We exist to support people to live meaningful, connected and self-directed lives. Many of the people we support (and many of the people who work with us) have experienced inequality, exclusion or barriers to opportunity. Because of this, fairness is not an abstract concept for us. It is something we see, feel and work to improve every day.
This is our first year being eligible to report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency. Entering this national conversation matters deeply to us. It reflects our growth as an organisation, but also our responsibility to lead in the communities we serve.
A workplace shaped by lived experience
Glady And Co was built from lived experience: by people who understand what it means to navigate systems that do not always create equal opportunity. That perspective shapes how we design roles, support career progression and make decisions about pay and recognition.
We believe that when people feel respected, safe and fairly valued they are better able to support others. Gender equality is therefore not separate from our work. It strengthens the quality, compassion and integrity of the support we provide to our community.
Our 2024–25 Gender Pay Gap Snapshot
What’s influencing our results
Our outcomes reflect strong female leadership representation, equitable pay structures, and near parity in frontline roles, supported by policies such as employer‑funded paid parental leave and superannuation on paid parental leave. As we continue to grow, we remain attentive to how workforce composition can influence outcomes over time.
What we’re doing
During 2024–25, we strengthened pay equity reviews, reinforced safety and respect reporting frameworks, supported flexible work and parental leave, and committed to introducing formal gender equality targets.
What’s next
In 2025–26, we will undertake annual pay equity audits, introduce measurable gender equality targets, strengthen recruitment and progression processes, and continue building a safe, respectful workplace.
These outcomes are important to us because they reflect the intentional decisions we make about fair pay, transparent processes and equitable progression.
They also reflect something deeper. That the work traditionally done by women, particularly in care and community services, is recognised and valued in our organisation.
Supporting opportunity and leadership
As a community-based organisation, we see employment not just as a job but as a pathway to stability, growth and empowerment.
We actively monitor workforce composition, promotions and leadership representation to ensure opportunity is genuinely accessible. Many appointments and promotions into management roles have been awarded to women, supporting strong leadership representation and future career pathways.
We know that representation matters. Not just in leadership, but in shaping culture, decision-making and how people experience work every day.
Building a safe, flexible and supportive workplace
Our workforce includes people with caring responsibilities, diverse life experiences and complex personal journeys. For this reason, flexibility, safety and support are essential foundations of our workplace.
We provide employer-funded paid parental leave, to support long-term financial security and workforce participation.
We maintain formal policies and structured processes to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and discrimination, and we actively consult with employees about gender equality issues.
These are not simply policies — they are part of how we care for the people who care for others.
Why this matters to us
For Glady And Co, gender equality is about dignity, respect and opportunity. These are the same principles that guide our work with participants and communities.
When we create a fair workplace, we model the kind of society we want to help build. One where people are valued for their contribution, supported through life transitions, and able to grow without structural barriers.
As a lived-experience organisation, we understand that equality is not achieved through intention alone. It requires structure, accountability and continuous reflection.
A personal reflection
I am proud of what our team has built together. Not just in our services, but in the way we treat one another.
Gender equality at Glady And Co is not driven by obligation. It is driven by our belief that fairness creates stronger communities, stronger workplaces and better outcomes for the people we support.
As we grow, we remain committed to leading with integrity, listening to our workforce and continuing to build a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
